Started of visiting the Okinawa Art fair just around the corner and met all of the japanese artists I had been drinking with before. They were so glad to meet me again (Micha-San!). Bought two really nice handcrafted tea cups there.
On Saturdays and Sundays I heard there is an organic market with farmers from the region, called “Farmer’s Expo Market”, so went there to get some additional tea. Nice thing is, the farmers will also let you try them directly. Bought a nice organic Pao Chung oolong and two others…
Oh, on the way there while driving with the MRT (the local public transportation system working perfectly), I just felt a very short, but intensive very local pain in my right leg, thought something has stung me. This will get later important…
But anyway, after the market went off to finish record hunting and went to the store, where I had gone berserk three weeks ago. Good for my wallet, bad for me – it was sadly almost hunted down empty. I mean there were records, but most of the interesting ones had gone. No wonder, while I was there the first time, there were already some rare groove DJs from Japan hunting as well.
After returning to the hostel I had to go through the main station. This was a little bit uncommon for westerners – everyone was sitting everywhere on the (clean) floor. No chance this could happen in dirty Germany.
Then went to Dihua street to check the dried goods again – wasn’t to sure, as my packing would already be tight. Bought a tea tablet instead and went for some sushi.
Later I met Kuan-You again and we went to the area where the night life is going on. There are many japanese in this quarter, so we found a nice izakaya-style bar and some wonderful food.
Walking there the pain in my leg was already getting stronger, had difficulties to walk. Damn…
So took it easy and had just a final beer with Kuan-You at the 7-11…
